Every year, parents and community members like you make a huge difference in the lives of local children by giving to the annual campaign.
Why do we need the Foundation? State school funding has been drastically reduced over the years, adding up to millions of dollars lost for the Lake Oswego School District. Unwilling to compromise the high-level education we’ve always provided for our children, the Foundation was created to raise money directly for teacher salaries. This guarantees more personal attention, more advanced courses and more electives for every student in Lake Oswego.
One of the clearest signs of the Foundation’s effectiveness is that the schools in our district are consistently rated the highest in the state. Thanks to all the support we enjoy from the Lake Oswego community, our schools are able to provide a rich, diverse education that cultivates well-rounded, successful students with a broad range of interests and abilities.
Raising funds each year is a unique challenge we tackle on variety of fronts: year-end giving, an annual luncheon in February, community-wide Spring phonathons and numerous community activities.
It only takes a moment to make a meaningful impact for our students
Please consider contributing to our annual campaign today using one of the methods below – our students and teachers count on your support.

The Starkweather Society
*The Starkweather Society consists of Foundation supporters who have given $1,250 or more during the year. The Society is named for Harvey Starkweather, an educational visionary and the first Superintendent of Schools in Clackamas County. The generosity of Starkweather members is recognized in several ways, including a fall reception in their honor, free passes to high school athletic events and acknowledgment in the Foundation Annual Report.
